Barbara Gould Revue

Hello people,

Today is hot as hell, and the weather makes me think that I'm living in tropical areas instead of Tunisia, hot weather in da morning and rain in da night, I can't call this season properly Autumn..
Okay so today I'm here to talk about a common drugstore brand that we can find here in Tunisia in some hypermarkets like Carrefour , Géant mostly, we can find some other products in local markets.

It is a french brand using some natural products with a more or less clean composition depending on the brand..You should know that as a scientist I do care a lot about composition  and in the next revues you'll see that I officially  entered the bio phase , i.e using products labeled "Bio"..

I didn't purchase all the products at once, and although I heard about some flops concerning the mask of the brand by a tunisian blogger/vlogger Mayssa that I appreciate btw ;), I decided to try the brand..
At that period, I was looking for a good peeling and I was about to purchase the one of Yves Rocher, but discovering that it contains parabens ---> no thanks.

One day that I headed out to Géant, I was as usual looking at the beauty section products and looking at the compos of different brands/products, PS : if you meet one day a brunette spending hours to look for the products its ...meeee, when I tell you that most of sellers in the beauty stores don't appreciate me you know why I can spend an hour in one shop only to look at the compo of a  product

I hate bloggers who write a lot , but looks that i'm one of them :p, so enough telling you about my life LOL, Here are my Barbara Gould products...

and here is a detailed view about each one , let's start by my tops:

Barbara Gould Réveil Eclat: Soin Fluide Hydra Lissant:

They say it's 90% natural ingredients and without parabens, enriched with pomegrenate ( grenade for frenchies) -vitamins..
What I think:
-the compo is good although it contains Silicone in the middle of the compo
- the smell is sooo good as well, for years I never did put a hydrating creme because of my combination mixed skin, I have a persistant skin imperfections although I reached my 30s some time ago , I never thought that this might work for me, I did actually buy it in a kit because I couldn't find the peeling alone, but well I was wrong because this hydrates your skin for hours and penetrates in seconds, and even for combination skin, plus the smell , Oh God !!
The Packaging is also very girlish and hygienic, the price is 18 TND, for 50 ml, not that expensive when you find a product that really works....

Barbara Gould Réveil Eclat: Gommage Délice:

The name already told you everything  , its a real pleasure, gorgeous smell and good composition , with no parabens no crap, it's based on the kernel particles of argan  fruit, hmm you know argan don't you ?
and vegetal powders, the compo contains also salicylic acid and panthenol, which derives from Vitamin B5 , if I still remember something about my vitamins course , if i'm wrong please correct me
What I think ?
-This product is a must, according the beaute -test.com , a famous french website that I do use to get the reviews of different people about some beauty products, they like the Yves rocher's peeling better, I havent tried its exfoliating property so far, but given the fact that it contains parabens not interested honestly...

Barbara Gould Purifier: Masque SPA Energisant:

A top as well, this mask is based on technique of institute which consists basically on mixing the powder of the mask with a bit of water, a small note: you can buy like 2 or 3 of these masks put them together in a bottle or any container,  you can store afterwards and use the quantity that your face requires , because I find that using the whole sachet is not thrifty

The product contains aloe vera which as the description says tonifies and regenerates the skin, its also works for all skin even sensitive ones, however you should not have too much hair on your face because it might hurt a bit when peeling it off, I'm against the face depilation even for wedding  LOL, so if you're like me think about applying a hydrating skin product tonic, rose water, or aloe gel.
I forgot to tell you that it doesn't contain parabens as well.....

What I think :
-It works, thumbs up.

Barbara Gould: Réveil Eclat : 30 disques yeux "2en1"Démaquillants& Défatiguants:

Its a make up remover, which removes mascara , eyshadows and pencils in a quite good way, but for me nothing replaces avocado oil in a coton for mascara
, its cheaper and more efficient , the product doesn't contain parabens as well..
I got it for free with the paquet containing the peeling and fluid hydrating!

Now let's move to the flops

Barbara Gould : L'Eau Démaquillante: Visage-Yeux

It works more or less to remove make up, but not totally guys! Its basically a flop because of parabens that it contains, there is another one Bio  labeled, good composition  for the double of price, not expensive though, it might sound contradictory while I  keep on babbling since the beginning about parabens, but at that ride,  I remember I was kind of short of money that I got barely fees of the transport so I decided to buy it despite the compo, plus my logic says that I will only use it for seconds to remove the biggest part of make up foundation, and rince the rest with my current cleanser and water, because nothing is more efficient than cleanser and water, so the parabens won't lay down on my skin and be absorbed if you see what I mean LOL, you don't have to agree with my logic, I'd rather buy the other which costs 13 TND for 250 ml..

Actually the price of this make up remover is only 6TND something, in Carrefour Hypermarket for .....390 ml, not so easy to resist, especially that you won't die if you use once the bottle in your life

Barbara Gould: Hydratant Perfecteur de teint:

This one is a total flop despite some natural ingredients, it contains parabens too but this was totally my mistake  because I wasn't careful enough to see them..
I was looking for a long time ago for a skin primer to apply under my BB cream, I barely use foundation btw..., so when I saw that it can be used as a base for make up, I totally decided to buy it, besides they said that it contains a complex of pore minimizer formed by carrot- abricot oil, it contains also silicone...

What I think:
It has a quite poor penetration on the skin ,and honestly I don't see any improvements on the pores aspect, so I use from time to time not everyday, and I can't wait to get rid of it, its not that bad, it does actually have a great smell , but the parabens part hmm not really fan , so now whe I use it, I try to have that day a perfect fod diet, abuse of anti oxydants and use another make up remover not the parabens lol, it would be too much parabens if I use both LOL...
For those who don't know ,parabens aren't really carcinogen, at least one or 2 studies say that they cause breast cancer, not really confirmed on a large scale , parabens are more like endocrinian perturbators, so its particularly dangerous to give them for kids etc, however US doesn't seem to care a lot about this issue,  we can still see a lot of products contating parabens, and even .....medications..

Okay I assume that  I talk a lot and we come to the end, so have a nice weekend if you read this
xoxo
