Anyways,to get familiar with the blog and me, you should know that i'm a serial shopper, I like mostly to try new products, and if they're affordable then I don't hesitate to shop&shop.
Since Catrice has opened a franchise in Tunisia, things didn't go better for my wallet obviously, and here I am getting all the new stuff of every new collection. I must admit that a few can resist to a combo of cheap/good quality products that the brand offers.
Catrice is largely found accross Europe, (Germany ) is the producer, also Belgium and Holland I believe, and Poland if I'm not wrong , its a bit harder to find it in France only in the border zones, no way to find it in US, Canada, Essence is available there though..
I still don't get why I never knew the brand when I was living in Belgium for a couple of years, I believe I was like a bit snobbish to don't try relatively cheap brands and prefer the high ones , I ended up spending a lot of money on luxurious brands, while I could buy tons of Catrice for exple, okay it would give me a lot of excess of luggage, but okay , lesson learned for me , never spend again on high brands only if its "The" product...
Yesterday, I headed to Parfumerie Miracle- the closest to my area-,I was hunting the new palette, which many said that some colours were close to Naked by Urban decay, some didn't, I ended up buying many other products
4 more nail polishes, for a total of around 60 in my entire collection , and I still keep on buying !!
The absolute nude palette :

What I think:
okay, I have tested once the urban decay palette , so I can tell you my honest view, the urban decay are easier to work , although some colours tend to make falls, the urban decay palette offers a large choice of colours, with a relatively big size...
For the absolute nude palette, you have certainly less choice, but using is a primer is a must otherwise you won't see the intensity of each colour
Some colours are quite dupes to the urban decay naked, I can't remember which ones though
the 2 colours on the top right seem quite similar, I would have prefered if they add a black instead of the 5th colour from your left
I don't see personally any falls when I used it for a sort of smokey look.
The absolute nude compo is wayyyy better , unlike the urban decay one full of parabens and other crap, plus when you see the price for which these palettes are sold in Tunisia, you'd better think twice before buying one...
To conclude, I think that the absolute nude palette is a greater alternative for a great price, I got mine for 12.5 TND, with the discount, okay other colours are missing, but I saw some similar colours in Artdeco , you can buy the missing shaded, and then you get your own dupe naked palette ...
Catrice Khol Kajal
I have rarely seen a such creamy white, I was craving for the jumbo milk by nyx, but I wouldn't pay 5 times the price in US for a pencil , as a wise testor, this one can do the work , I think it can be applied on the lid of your eyes before applying the shades of the absolute nude palette.. also in the inner corner it can do the work..
Nail polish : 800 heavy metallic
the lighting doesn't give the true shade, I'll look for a better photo
I would stronly recommend to anyone to buy these products
okay, now that we're done, I can only say xoxo
For the NYX jumbo there's the PERFECT dupe: the white stick concealer from Golden Rose (still didn't find this brand in Tunis, I got mine in Sfax, but you should look in small makeup shops) MakeupByAmira talked about it on her blog. Here's the link:http://www.makeupbyamira.com/2012/03/dupe-du-crayon-jumbo-de-nyx.html
ReplyDeleteI read the article before, I still think that the one of Catrice might be a good one coz its creamy, a concealer stays a concealer after evrything so it has some oily texture , reason why I don't prefer to use on the eye lids although it's a good dupe globally , thanks for commenting :)
DeleteBon article bon continuation :)
